Richard Leigh

Richard Leigh

A very warm welcome to country music songwriter and singer,  Richard Leigh. One of Richard’s most famous songs is ‘Don’t  It Make My Brown Eyes Blue’ which was a worldwide hit for singer Crystal Gayle. This song won him a much deserved Grammy Award. Apparently it is said that he wrote the song because his dog had one brown eye and one blue eye. Richard has written hit songs  for many prominent singers including Billy Dean, Reba McEntire, Don Williams and the Dixie Chicks. Richard was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994.
It took me awhile to track Richard down but he finally said he’d like to join the 1951 Club.  ‘ You bet.  Include me as a member ! Thanks. ‘
