Newsletter the First

This is, as indeed the title suggests, the first 1951 Club Newsletter.
The 1951 Club began in March 2010. Where has the time gone ?
That is a rhetorical question by the way so don’t get smart with me !

Having said this , a very clever gentleman by the name of John Archibald Wheeler (1911 – 2008)  did come up with with this absolute blinder … Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.  Mind you … he was a young contemporary of the great Albert Einstein and was responsible for coining the term ‘ black hole ‘.

If you have just stumbled across this page in a moment of wild and reckless abandon then be happy in the knowledge that fate has been kind to you and follow this link which will explain things in a little more detail. You are very welcome so please stay and have a browse around.

If you are a member of the 1951 Club then this is your site which is dedicated to all-things 1951.  Please come in and make yourself at home.

Question:  Do people ever turn down the invitation to join the 1951 Club?
Yes … and that’s fine of course. I know they have their reasons and I respect that. It is quite difficult to receive a no  from someone who you may particularly admire but that goes with the territory I guess and anyway … the door is always open.
That basically wraps things up for this newsletter I think.
All the very best to you and yours … Kris.
