The 1951 Rolling Review Show … # 33
Welcome to the 1951 Rolling Review Show which twice weekly features pieces of music I have enjoyed at some time in my life. I hope you enjoy them as well. Let me know and please feel free to Reblog.
SEE EMILY PLAY (Pink Floyd)
See Emily Play was the second single by English rock band Pink Floyd. It was written by original frontman Syd Barrett and recorded on 23 May 1967. See Emily Play is included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list and reached #6 in the UK singles chart after its release in June 1967. It was inspired by a then young schoolgirl called Emily Young (picture above). Emily herself was born in 1951 and is a member of the 1951 Club. You can view her post here.
