1951 DeSoto

1951 DeSoto

The DeSoto is an American automobile marque that was manufactured and marketed by the DeSoto Division of the Chrysler Corporation from 1928 to the 1961 model year. The DeSoto marque was officially dropped November 30, 1960, with over two million vehicles built since 1928.

The nifty little number pictured above is a 1951 DeSoto four-door sedan. The body was claimed to be rust proof. It had a 3.9 litre Chrysler L-head six-cylinder engine. The DeSoto had full instrumentation and came with optional six-tube and an eight-tube radio. I want one!
