I will never ever get to the stage of having completed every 1951 Club post possible. Not even close. It will always be a work in progress. There will always be one more to write.
This is why I like lists. They come in very handy. The nice thing about lists is that it’s possible to be concise and far-reaching without actually having to say too much. They can be considered as worm-holes of information that can both bend and condense the data contained in the observable universe. They are also a good stop-gap just in case I don’t have time to go into detail until much later. I may end up having to write them from another dimension altogether. What a strange thought to have. 😯
Here is my list of famous singers born in 1951 called Chris Rea –
I expect you are now tremendously impressed. I know I was.
Then I stumbled across a Wikipedia entry – The list of lists of lists. I wish I hadn’t. It wasn’t pretty. I needed a stiff drink which rapidly turned into several. 🍺🍺🍺 🍸🍸
You may wish to sit down before you read the following.
List of lists of lists. Wikipedia has this to say on the subject.
This is a dynamic list and may never be able to satisfy particular standards for completeness. You can help by expanding it with reliably sourced entries. This is a list of articles that are themselves lists of articles that are also lists on the English Wikipedia. In other words, each of the articles linked here is an index to multiple lists on a topic. Some of the linked articles are themselves lists of lists of lists.
And this is what I have to say on the subject.
What a load of old codswallop!
Anyway. Whenever I start to experience information overload or feel a little overwhelmed by the task in hand, I may well now resort to whistling a happy tune and posting a list.
FOR EXAMPLE …
Here is a list of all the astronauts and cosmonauts who were born in 1951. I don’t think I’ve missed anybody.
