There are Elephants in the Room … # 11
The Geological Survey of India, established in 1851, is a government organisation in India which is attached to the Ministry of Mines of Union Government of India for conducting geological surveys and studies.
This stamp was issued in 1951 to mark its centenary. It depicts Stegodon ganesa, a mammal found in the Siwalik Hills of India 5.3 to 1.8 million years ago. It is a distantly related to the mammoth and the modern elephant.

Nature working it all out I expect. Thanks so much for dropping by. Chris. 🐘🐘🐘😃
My pleasure. 🙂
