The 1951 Rolling Review Show … # 105
Welcome to the 1951 Rolling Review Show which twice weekly features pieces of music I have enjoyed at some time in my life. I hope you enjoy them as well. Let me know if you do.
“Northern Star” – Melanie C
“Northern Star” is a song by British singer songwriter, Melanie C. It is the title track from her debut solo album and it was released as the second single in the winter of 1999. It was written by Melanie C and Rick Nowels. The single charted at number four in the UK Singles Chart, becoming her third top five single. It reached the top ten in Italy and Sweden. In the United Kingdom, the single sold over 200,000 copies, and over 1,000,000 copies worldwide.
Wow, great song! It is a new to me. So, thank you for sharing!
Yes, she was one of the Spice Girls.
Ah, yes!!! Right! Now that you say it, I remember.
I think the solo work by some of the Spice Girls was far superior to their group efforts. I posted about ‘Look at Me’ by Gerry Halliwell, and ‘Maybe’ by Emma Bunton.
Thanks for following my blog, which is much appreciated.
Best wishes, Pete.
Hi there. I agree with you. My favourite track from Gerry Hallowell was ‘Walkaway’. Thanks for dropping by.
