The 1951 Rolling Review Show … # 134

Welcome to the 1951 Rolling Review Show which features pieces of music I have enjoyed at some time in my life. I hope you enjoy them as well. Let me know if you do.

“Wichita Lineman” – Glen Campbell

So sad to hear about the passing of musician Glen Campbell yesterday. His was such a wonderful and unique talent. He had many hits including “By the Time I Get to Phoenix”, “Wichita Lineman”, “Galveston” and “Rhinestone Cowboy”.
“Wichita Lineman” is a song written by American songwriter Jimmy Webb and recorded by Glen Campbell in 1968. It remains one of my favourites. Thank you for the music, Glen.

  1. A most extraordinary voice. RIP dear fellow.

  2. Such a loss. Such is life. Thank goodness for memories and recorded music so artists like Glen can live on.

  3. I like his songs even more now than I did as a kid. Hugs.
