The 1951 Rolling Review Show … # 158

Welcome to the 1951 Rolling Review Show which features pieces of music I have enjoyed at some time in my life. I hope you enjoy them as well. Let me know if you do. Sometimes I feel that each song here is a little personal voyage for me on a vast and beautiful ocean of musical memories. Thank you so much for joining me. I really appreciate your company.

“A Begging I will go” – Martin Carthy

One of my favourite genres is English traditional folk music.
“A Begging I Will Go” is a 17th century English tune about living the good life as a beggar. This version is by Martin Carthy, an English folk singer and guitarist who has remained one of the most influential figures in British traditional music.
